We moved here in late summer 2006 and were eager to start creating what would be our third garden together and hopefully our “forever garden”. We don’t work to a formal plan, rather we have a vague idea of what we would like to achieve and deal with one area at a time. We sometimes make a rough sketch on paper but more often than not just start digging and see what happens.
Some areas worked straight away whilst others have been altered more than once. If we have learnt one lesson over the last ten years it is not to be frightened to dig things up and start again, in fact that is what makes it so much fun.
We continue with enthusiasm and know that the garden will never be finished and enjoy it all the more for that.
